K. Dale Cooper
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Dale expanded his services in 1989
to include medical practice management services to physician groups. The consulting
practice has grown to include a wide range of specialties throughout
Texas. Cooper Graci & Company is endorsed by the Texas
Medical Association. The projects Dale has handled include:
- Assisting in the implementation of physician buy-in,
employment agreements, and stock purchase agreements.
- Performing
practice valuations for mergers, retirements, and buy-ins.
- Performing
Billing Analysis, including development of systems and
documents to maximize revenue.
- Negotiating physician buy-in
into practice.
- Assisting with billing software selection.
- Analyzing contracts with PPMCs.
- Developing financial models in sell out versus hold
analysis.
- Overseeing controllership functioning including accounts
payable, payroll, and General Ledger.
- Developing relative value based patient fee schedules.
- Assisting in the development of internal control systems.
- Assisting in creation of personnel policy guides.
- Assisting in review of managed care contracts.
- Developing physician compensation programs for single
specialty and multi-specialty groups.
- Preparing budgets and financial statements.
- Preparing financial statements, allocation reports,
and annual government reports for pension and profit sharing
plans.
- Preparing comprehensive tax planning, projections, and
financial plans for medical practices and physician owners.
Dale is a partner with Cooper Graci & Company, P.A.,
and is in charge of the health care services section of the
firm. In Addition to writing a monthly medical newsletter,
Dale is a regular contributor to the Texas MGMA Quarterly Newsletter. |
